Sheffield Slings went to town today with our babies on our backs and fronts, ready to shake our stuff at the Chance to Dance event… thunderstorms were forecast, but we are made of strong stuff! There was Bollywood dancing first up, which was great fun, and we got lots of attention for dancing with our children, overhearing lots of positive comments, having our photos taken and answering people’s interested queries! We met the Mayor while the sun was still shining, and then retreated into the nearest cafe for replenishments and to wait out the brief showers, but they lingered for a while so out came the umbrellas. No awkward pushchairs to maneouvre! The sun soon blazed out again and we headed straight for the salsa dancing, which was brilliant fun, and again we got a lot of interest.. some of the children fell asleep from the soporific swaying.. a brilliant day out.
