Upcoming Events

Here’s a run down of our upcoming events. All are welcome including mums, dads, grannys, childminders etc, older children, newborns and bumps (and everyone in between)! Whether you’ve never even seen a sling in real life before or you’ve got a veritable stash going on, do come down, we’d love to meet you 🙂

Demo Library Meets:
1st and 3rd Thursdays, 11am – 2pm, Victoria Methodist Centre, Stafford Road, S2 2SE (road opposite Norfolk Park’s main gates)
2nd and 4th Mondays 1pm – 2:15pm (session 1- sling focus with our consultants and peer supporters), 2:45pm – 4pm (session 2- slingy social meet with chat and advice), Playtime Centre, St Thomas Philadelphia, Cross Gilpin Street, S6 3BL
3rd Fridays 10am – 12pm, The Meadows Children’s Centre, Catcliffe, S60 5SW

If you join our facebook group you can organise your own events. Whether that’s a day out to an activity you’ve always been meaning to try or just a last minute coffee at a play centre on a rainy day (some of our best meets have been thrown together on the day!) you’ll always get someone wanting to join you and your little ones 🙂 We arrange outdoor walks for children who can’t be indoors for risk of infection, we have a file of “where to find the Slingers” so people can network locally and make friends nearby, and we all love exploring new places and locations.

There is at least one, usually two or three meets a week all over the city, some large, some small, some arranged well in advance, many impromptu get togethers! We run themed Sling Meets as well, focusing on particular carries or carriers, or age ranges.. and also our popular countryside walks and days out in the lovely Peak District.
